"Renewable sources of energy" in terms of building and energy technology is an important issue for the ISH 2009. The ISH is therefore in line with the current trend in both the political and commercial sphere. The "Energy Performance of Buildings" directive reflects the demand on the part of the EU to adopt an holistic approach to buildings and imposes concrete targets for the development of renewable sources of energy and energy efficiency. High energy costs as well as supply uncertainties on the part of the user have also increased dramatically the demand for technology that protects our natural resources.
The need is for system solutions or more accurately the combination of modern heating technology with renewable sources of energy. Only the mutually beneficial application of efficient technologies and renewable sources of energy will solve today’s problems and those of the future. The ISH - by giving consideration to all energy aspects of the building – is the ideal platform for products and sustainable solutions that meet these complex requirements.
The exhibitors from Europe showcase systems that use renewable sources of energy, offering the most up to date and comprehensive range of products on the global market. They show where technology has got to in the sectors of solar thermal heating, wood and pellet burners, heat pumps and ventilation systems, biogenous energy sources or systems technology for very efficient heat insulated buildings.
